Two postdoctoral positions are available at the European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*).

The European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*)  invites applications for two 2-year postdoctoral positions starting in the Fall  of 2019.

The local research at the ECT* focuses on TheoreticalNuclear Physics in a broad sense as well as on related areas. In addition, the main scientific activities carried out at ECT* concern workshops, collaboration meetings, doctoral training programs and specialized courses. Job Description

The successful candidates will be expected to conduct research within any of the fields of Nuclear Structure and Reactions, Hadron Physics, Quantum Chromodynamics, Physics of Matter under Extreme Conditions and Ultra-relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions, including the possibility to collaborate with the researchers at the Centre.

 

The eligible candidates should have:

  • Ph.D. in Physics;
  • research experience in any of the themes mentioned above;
  • oral and written proficiency in the English language.

  

Employment:

Type of contract:  fixed term contract

Working hours: part time

Gross salary: approximately Euro 32.000,00 

Start date: September/October 2019

Duration:  2 years

Place: Villazzano, Trento (Italy).
